We made the “Pledge” because we want you to sit with what that ritual actually sounds like now. This film shows a classroom reciting the Pledge of Allegiance while gunfire echoes faintly in the distance. The children’s voices never waver.
This is what normal sounds like now. If children can say “liberty and justice for all” through the sound of gunfire without flinching, this stopped being a crisis a long time ago. It became routine.
